Things are good at The Design Loft and we are enjoying many visitors on staycation in Ireland! 

In my last Blog I introduced you to Mervue - our latest Irish Skincare product.  We've had great interest since then so if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet put it on your to do list!

Bex Shelford

Another new Designer we have been thrilled to have join us is Bex Shelford. Bex has discovered what those quiet little bunnies do at night and produced fabulous art work!  Who knew harmless little bunnies could be so mischievous!

Bex lives in Co. Dublin by the seaside and is a teacher and art therapist.  She loves to see the fun side of life and her art work will definitely make you smile, and we all need to smile more especially after the last 18 months!

Bex has also produced a fun book for children and Powerscourt features in it!! 

It's called 'Be and Irish Explorer' and is perfect for creatively whiling away the days during the holidays.  Each page is different and it allows for great imagination also.

Saturday Workshop

Also for little ones we have beautiful wooden puzzles/ toys from Saturday Workshop.  These are really high quality beautifully handmade pieces. 

Saturday Workshop was started by a father and daughter team Edward and Iseult O'Clery, in a small workshop in Sandymount, Dublin. Together they mix traditional skills and new technologies to make simple yet original wooden products.

Edward and Iseult have skills in architecture, engineering, boat building and furniture making, the combination of which has brought about this beautiful range of products  inspired by the simplicity of traditional objects and toys. They are made from sustainable Irish Beech hardwood and decorated with child safe paints. We think you'll love them. 

Cotton Hill Lane

We are also delighted to have the Cotton Hill Lane range of kiddies rompers available in store and on line.  

Cotton Hill Lane is a small Irish business based in rural Sligo and run by Paula.

Paula creates children's clothes which are fun, fresh and simple in design featuring her delightful animal drawings. The pieces are made from all natural fabrics and all the packaging is recyclable or biodegradable. 

We hope you'll love these little Elephant, Mouse, Fox, Racoon and Bear rompers!
