Fanad Head Lighthouse stands strong against the elements on the headland between Lough Swilly and Mulroy Bay in north Co Donegal. First active on St Patrick’s Day 1817 and automated since 1983, its light helps guide shipping along this stunning stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way.
